Introducing Moderately Annoyed Cat
Moderately Annoyed Cat (also known as Matilda, the younger, female manx who shares my home with her brother, Gabriel) will make guest appearances from time to time as moderate annoyances indicate.

Good evening, Wild Clover.
I posted that story as a full article over at Big Brass Blog: "Redneck Fetishism"
Send the link to friends. I am pretty sure that most people have never even heard of this strangeness.
Wrote Moody Blue:
I dunno. Around here, a look like Matilda's could be a sign of lack of patience: imminent attack mode pending.
Or lazy indifference: "Meh."
After all these years, I still haven't gotten reading cat minds down to a science.
"Cats as a class, have never completely got over the snootiness caused by that fact that in Ancient Egypt they were worshiped as gods." ~P.G. Wodehouse
Wrote Dark Wraith:
Good morning, Moody Blue.
Wodehouse's observation would unquestionably apply to leaders, as well.
The difference being, quite obviously, that cats only rarely show signs that they are not.

Good evening, Dark Wraith.
Matilda sure grew up to be a beauty. So, will you post pictures of Gabriel as "Totally Pissed off Cat"? Or will that be you? :)
Wrote Dark Wraith:
Good evening, Old White Lady.
Gabriel is The Sartorially Detached Cat. Unlike Matida, though, who actually poses when she sees me with my camera, Gabriel doesn't much care for the camera most of the time.
Maybe I should try bribing him with cat treats. Come to think of it, maybe I should try that with the clients at my next photo shoot. It's some kind of women's conference at a fancy hotel nearby.
The Dark Wraith might be going to the store to buy a large bag of chocolates.
Wrote Faraway Eyes:
Suggests a whole new set of verses for that excellent Rodney Crowell tune "Sex and Gasoline," or perhaps the Queen classic, "I'm in Love with My Car."
Matilda has the regal bearing of Bastet herself--rumpie or stumpie?
Wrote Dark Wraith:
Good morning, Faraway Eyes. Matilda is almost a rumpie. She and her brother Gabriel were not quite show quality, although they came from bloodlines on both sides that had won multiple awards.
Even though Matilda and Gabriel were never in a cat show, they nevertheless have the bearing and personalities of great show cats without the ridiculously high price tags.
Don't tell them the part about being cheap. That would make life difficult around here.

dear Wraith...
I followed your link to find out what "pedal pumping" is. I now need to bleach my brain, something I seldom if ever need to do with most people's fetishes.
Thank you so much for the education-not. I'm now going to be wondering about every honking big ole redneck I see from now on. Ewwwww.
