Veterans Day 2009
The flag and her warriors are with you.
Even in the stormy night, we will not leave you.
As you are the Nation to which we pledged our blood, we will not fail you.
Not ever.
Not even through that stormy night.

You take nice photos, Wraith. And your camera seems to serve you well.
It's nice that stormy nights don't stick around for long, but the light shows are pretty cool, sometimes. When in the distance.
I'm thankful that our flag and her warriors won't fail us or leave us, whatever the weather.

What're we gonna talk about this fine even? Should NY'ers make a mad dash for the bridges, due to fears of massive terrierists invading?
Wrote Father Tyme:
trog,
I'll tell you what we won't talk about...that really dumb, bonehead play by the U of A's quarterback!
Wrote trog69:
D'oh!

Good evening, DW.
I'm sorry but there's still some gristle left on that corporate personhood bone, so I'm gonna...do sumpin with it. I dunno what yet. Meanwhile, how are we going to get any kind of monopoly takedowns if the corporations involved are allowed to use their personal rights to pump more millions into our legislatures in order to keep them in their pockets?
Obviously, I need to learn more about what all this entails, but it just seems that we'll never get around to cutting these firms down to size if they're allowed to bribe the refs with no penalties at all. Or, should this be addressed by campaign finance laws, like the ones that have worked so well so far?
Wrote Father Tyme:
trog,
What can we do? Well, maybe adopt similar measures as what Chuckie Norris advocated on Hand-Job show.

Me thinks the old man took one too many to the head!
But maybe the idea could apply to corporate types?
Wrote trog69:
Mr. punch-drunk Norris isn't just a moron; He's a theocrat-loving jerk who would love nothing better than a true "Christian nation" to live in.
He does seem to have an excuse, however. That weasel sitting on top of his noggin has punched through the skull and has been eating away for years now.

I took the picture for this post on November 2, 2009, using my Nikkor 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S DX lens on a Nikon D60 body.
As you can see, it really was dark and stormy that night.
