I don't know how you come up with these ideas, Wraith, but you sure have created another kewl Hallowe'en graphic! You're good!
...Speaking of Hallowe'en, here are some costume ideas for those of us who hate having to choose between Slutty Nurse, Slutty Cop and Slutty Cat every year.

I love the graphic, and get the point. I worry however that the Neanderthal tea bagger/birther/closet KKK types if they found this on line would link to it in all serious delight in having their sentiments expressed so much more artistically than simply painting a Hitler 'stache on Obama's face.
In short, I find it disturbing for reasons you may not have intended....

Good afternoon, Wild Clover.
Yes, even as I conceptualized this graphic, I saw the potential for racist appeal. This will be an issue in future graphics I create, too, and the problem speaks to the interaction of art and observer.
Long ago, here, I think I actually touched upon this in a piece I wrote about the emergence of abstract art as an alternative to representational art: the latter imposes, to the extent that it can, a narrative upon the observer, whereas the latter opens a frame in which the observer has much greater latitude to craft a personal, experiential narrative upon what is being observed.
As you have plainly caught, though, even representational art can provide essential freedom for the observer to impose personal, cultural, and temporal meaning upon what the artist has created. I can have every intention of making a political statement of one kind that is wholly and entirely "misinterpreted" by those who do not know me or have no interest in following my lead in using the medium and the modality to the purpose of my message.
Fortunately, the existence of a body of work allows me an affirmative statement as to the original intention of any given example within that portfolio. That is as far as I am willing to go in setting forth what I want to convey.
I thank you for giving me the opportunity to speak to this matter.

Really? Right to my bedside? Interesting...
As long as you're headed this way, can you please bring me a large pizza with black olives and baby portabella mushrooms? And a six-pack of decent ale? I'm a very generous tipper.
And btw, I love the graphic!
