Only one criticisms...

The pic of Palin does not look nearly as maniacal as I've observed in a few shots, though maybe the angle there wouldn't have worked.

And two comments..

I like it. Tasteful and understated. But tell me why McCain's head looks like Georgie's? I'd never noticed a resemblance before, except that they sound alike when speaking in public (and I hate to listen to either, though McCain's whispering intimacy is slightly more tolerable than Shrub's smarmy arrogance) Are they actually 1/2 brothers and George Sr a naughty boy with an admiral's wife?

The reason for the similarity, as I've come to notice in working with photos of both Bush and McCain, has to do with the structure of their lower front teeth. When McCain pulls his lower lip in, as I caused him to do in morphing a photo of him for this graphic, he gets the same look as George W. Bush when he does the same thing. When they conceal the difference in their lower lips by stretching them a little ways backward over their lower front teeth, the two guys look quite a bit alike.

Bone structure-wise, they're also similar except for McCain's much more prominent sides of his mandible.

One other thing I should mention, although it sounds like I'm stereotyping people, is that older men tend to be easier to morph into one another. Part of it is the lines many share in their faces, but it also has to do with a loss of muscle and the thinning of the skin. In a way, it's like they're all closer in the face to their skulls, which don't vary all that much among people of similar ethnic groups and regions.

I am well aware of many exceptions to this over-generalization, but it is something noticeable and, in some cases, useable by a digital graphical artist.

Anyway, that all aside, you are correct in pointing out that I could have used far more maniacal shots of Palin, but the point was to start with three or four that put her closer to "pretty" than to "scary" because that's what makes for better horror. Someone who looks too much like a she-hellion isn't going to be as surprisingly ghoulish holding a bloody knife and a man's severed head.

She shot herself during her acceptance speech if anyone bothered to listen for outright lies, IMHO. The campaign speech lies don't bother the rightwing base, and troopergate doesn't neither.

Her morals got shot as far as I was concerned when she gleefully flew on an airline while in labor...not only a lie by omission to the airline, but she lost any right to her "pro-life/pro-fetal person" credentials by putting her baby at risk by not going straight to a hospital...you do that in your mid 40s, you especially do this with a DS pregnancy, no matter how good the tests have all been. Been there with Imp... when she had the Mu. HE was doing fine, but went into distress during a normal check up, so we had him early. Palin showed a severe lack of judgement and callous(or fananatically religious) disregard for minimum precautions with her baby. Either she's supremely selfish, trusts God will always do what she wants, or did not care if the baby was born dead 1000 feet up. NONE of those character traits would want me to give her a job as shift manager at my store, let alone let her help run my country.
