Good evening, Old White Lady.
I set the bandpass filter at high on the recorder so only very close or fairly loud sounds are generally picked up. In that case, however, there was only a minumum of snickering, anyway, although there were more than a few eyes rolling.
The Dark Wraith is glad the eye-rolling never gets picked up by his digital recording device.

"Ya know what you're problem is, Edith? I'm talkin' American, but you're listenin' Dingbat!"
Or, as Blackdog would put it..."Hey, don't look at me, I didn't stink up the place; It's all my asphalt!"
Thanks for the lesson!
Wrote Dark Wraith:
Geez, that means two people listened to it!
The Dark Wraith figures these lectures will sell like hotcakes someday.

I like a small classroom.

I haven't listened yet, it needs to wait when folks are not sleeping, but I will.
I've had a very LOOOONGGG weekend putting in a new well pump, where everything that could go wrong, did. Including the ass wipe neighbor from up the hill coming down for a shouting fest...gods, I wish I were the vengeful type who had shady, untracable connections. On the up side I won 2 bucks playing lottery, so I was only down 5. Hee. We did an abreviated Passover this evening, as until last night we had no running water in the house, so a belated Happy Passover to all. I also figure I'm going nuts....I'm positive I posted something about the well saga, but damn if it isn't here. I have to wonder where I posted it then.
Words to live by...2 middleaged men and an out of shape mature lady should avoid pulling up 200' well lines/pumps by muscle alone at all costs. They should also never drop the new pump after dark, when one cannot see the break in the wire, necessitating pulling the damn thing back out. Though it is a lot easier without water in 200' of line.
Wrote Dark Wraith:
Good evening, Wild Clover.
We simply must get you city water. With all the pollutants and meds floating in it, surely there's something that's good for what ails.
On the other hand, maybe the well water isn't such a bad thing, after all.
The Dark Wraith has many fond memories of well water so hard it clanked when it hit the sink.

Good evening, Dark Wraith.
Nice lecture.
"Her name was Edith
She was a showgirl..."
I guess Barry sang about Lola, but her name should have been Edith.
That was quite the funny joke. I guess your students don't appreciate puns, too much. Or, perhaps, they're just quiet.
