According to a Republican strategist cited by ABC News, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is actively looking to get tapped by John McCain as his running mate, although through her spokesman she is denying such ambitions; and McCain, himself, is saying he doesn't think she wants to be his running mate.
Whatever. It's good political gossip, and it's breathing press attention into McCain's campaign, which has recently been so unnewsworthy that even the mainstream media hasn't been able to think of any way to hype it.
